How long will it take for my application to be processed and to receive a reply?
For local students, we will provide a decision on your application within 7 working days.

For international students, the application process takes 14 working days for the student pass application after all required documents are forwarded to the ICA (Immigration Checkpoint Authority)

Is Shelton College International recognised in Singapore and globally?
Shelton College is approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and also has Casetrust and SQC-PEO approval. For more information click here.

Shelton College is appointed by the MOE as an Examination Centre for Singapore-Cambridge 'O' and 'A' level programmes. The GCE-O & A Level certificates are awarded by the MOE and University of Cambridge and are nationally and globally recognised.

Shelton College's Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree courses are all quality assured by Staffordshire University in the UK, which is a leading government University in England. This means that all of these courses are globally recognised as a UK equivalent qualification is achieved through studying these programmes at Shelton. Students studying our Diploma/Advanced Diploma and Final year degree are also able to apply for our Internship programme in conjunction with various key employers in Singapore.

I am an overseas student, will Shelton help me apply for an Student Pass?
Of course, once you have been accepted onto one of our courses, our staff at Shelton will actually apply for your Student-Pass on your behalf.

Is it necessary for us to pay the application fee together with the other application documents?
Yes. Application fees must be paid with the submission of the enrolment form and documents, as a confirmation to apply for the course. We will then proceed to submit the documents for the student pass application and will produce your offer letter.

Is it possible for students to scan/fax the application documents?
Yes. You may scan/fax to us your application documents but you will need to submit the original documents upon reporting to school.

Are all the bachelor degrees awarded by Staffordshire University.
Yes. Your Bachelor (Hons) Degree will be awarded by Staffordshire University upon successful completion and passing the required criteria.

In which country should I study the last year of the degree? Singapore or UK? Does this make a difference to the certificate that I am awarded?
You can opt to complete the full, or part of the, degree programme in Shelton College International, Singapore or in Staffordshire University, United Kingdom. Which ever route you choose the degree certificate will be awarded by Staffordshire University.

After I finish my studies at Shelton, what are the future employment avenues for me in Singapore?
In each of our Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree programmes, we will offer you the opportunity to have a paid internship where you will learn new skills and experience working life in Singapore. This will help you prepare for the working world after your studies and can help you gain key contacts for finding a job after completing your studies. However getting a job in Singapore will also very much depend on other factors such as hard-work, personality, enthusiasm and determination.

How is Shelton ranked against other institutes that offer the same course?
We do not offer the same course compared to other institutes in Singapore. Shelton College International provides government quality assured certifications with Singapore Quality Class status. We are special because we are the ONLY institution that provides the guaranteed pathway from High School (Ministry of Education curriculums) to BA (Hons) Degree awarded by the Quality Assured University from UK, Staffordshire University which also includes the option of participating in our pioneering internship programme.

Will Shelton provide any help in help finding a job placement after the course? What has been the track record in the last few years with the internship offered during the course?
We have successfully provided internship placements to 100% of students who wished to take up this opportunity. After completion of your studies we do not then provide job placement but have found that many of our students were offered jobs in Singapore and many of our international students have successfully obtained Singapore Permanent Resident status.
