The BA (Hons) in Business Management programme incorporates Shelton’s two progressive awards: Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.
Students will be imparted the fundamentals of business concepts that expose them to deeper insights into the theoretical issues involved in managing a business. At the same time, students are equipped with practical skills that are applicable in the daily operations of a business. The final-year Honours curriculum also offers students a general option in the area of Corporate Finance, International Human Resource Management, Retail or Marketing and Management.
Human Resource Management
The BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management (HRM) is about developing and managing people in a modern organisation. At various stages of the coursework, students will learn the basic skills and knowledge to be effective in any role of an organisation. More specialist HRM topics will be covered in the final-year Honours programme that will equip candidates with the specific knowledge and skills required for a career in the HRM profession.
International Business Management
The BA (Hons) in International Business recognises that business is becoming increasingly international and this trend towards a 'global village' is certain to continue. The trend is generating a demand for people who have knowledge of international business and an ability to communicate and succeed in a global market environment. This award in International Business provides candidates with a broad business education and an international focus on all areas of business. Apart from the core business modules offered; candidates study modules with an international dimension during their final year, alongside some of the general business modules and functional areas of business in international contexts.
Marketing Management
The BA (Hons) in Marketing Management arises as a result of the demand from employers for graduates with practical marketing skills underpinned by an understanding of the wider business framework in the context of commercial, industrial, professional and public sector organisations. The course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to give them a head start in their career in marketing. The final-year Honours programme is highly focused on marketing, covering key areas such as marketing management, marketing communications and international marketing. In addition, as students progress through the course, they will acquire a range of business and marketing-specific skills that employer’s value, supported by a balanced mix of teaching methods and a variety of assessment approaches.

Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management
Staffordshire University’s BA (Hons) in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality programme incorporate Shelton’s subsidiary awards at the Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels. It is designed to provide an integrated and thorough overview of all aspects of business and management within the travel, tourism and hospitality industries; together with the specialist knowledge required for particular vocations and professions within these service sectors.

Recently introduced, Shelton’s NITEC Certificate in Food and Beverage Operations complements the degree programme in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management. This is achieved by giving students a practical insight into the F&B industry through a 6-month hands-on experience in reputed hotels and restaurants.
Singapore - Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level
The ‘A’ Level examination is conducted in Singapore annually. It is a globally recognised high school completion certificate. The University of Cambridge Lead Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) is the examining authority for subjects in English. The Ministry of Education in Singapore is the examining authority for Mother Tongue Subjects. The ‘A’ Level qualification will serve as entry to Singapore Universities such as NUS, NTU and SMU.
Singapore - Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level
The ‘O’ Level qualification is a widely recognised standard of educational achievement valued by employers and institutions of higher education throughout the world. While preparing for their ‘O’ level examinations, students will undergo monthly classroom assessments leading up to their final examinations. With this, they can then proceed to do the certificate courses which also serve as foundation courses for the degree programmes.

foundation program students can proceed to pursue their Shelton Diploma in Business Administration, Shelton Diploma in Travel Tourism and
