ACCOMMODATION


		Housing Shelton’s relocation to Telok Blangah has allowed us the privilege of refurbishing the top-most level of our new campus into dormitories and a hostel. Accommodating up to 80 hostelites and 40 boarders, Shelton International Hostel provides 24-hour pastoral care and an opportunity for multicultural interaction as well.

		Pastoral Care At Shelton, we understand that cultural transition and acclimatisation can be quite daunting for new students - especially during their first weeks here. Hence, none of our resources will be spared in our effort to provide conscientious attention to our students needs and concerns.

		Students aged 16 and below are guaranteed personal attention as they board at Shelton College. Parents can allay their concerns on various negative influences. We empathise and understand the strength in guiding youths in their formative years while dedicating resources to safety and well-being as well.

		Hostelites above 16 years of age, will also be introduced to a Residential Houseparent. Houseparents are caring and understanding about dealing with the new experiences of leaving home and coming to school here in Singapore and the interesting places to visit during your stay. Their focus is not only to help hostelites with the “small stuff”, like getting you a new light bulb or unlocking your door, but also getting studenvts through emotional concerns like homesickness, conflicts between friends and a myriad of other isses..

		Being in school means not being able to play the whole time. While spending time to interact and bond with friends is important, studying is just as integral a part of school life and there are as many options for studying as there are for relaxing. We have dedicated areas within the hostel fully equipped with study materials while the College’s computer laboratories and library are made available after school hours for the benefit of hostelites and boarders.

		Shelton’s international community of students have many different personalities, likes and dislikes. And if there’s a sport or activity that’s popular in Asia, chances are you’ll find a fervent following amongst Shelton’s students here. As things stand, Badminton, Soccer, Basketball and even Cricket has gained a strong popularity at Shelton, courtesy of our friends from the Subcontinent.
